Nitecore Thumb

The Nitecore Thumb is a compact clip-on light weighing 25 g, designed to attach directly to a pack strap, jacket pocket, or tent edge rather than sit on a keychain. The head tilts up to 120°, letting you aim the beam exactly where you need it without repositioning the whole unit. A combination of white and red LEDs with 85 lm peak output covers both ordinary tasks like reading or camp chores in the evening and lower-key uses like signalling or lighting your area without blinding tent-mates. Charging is via USB, keeping it on the same cable standard as the rest of a typical electronics kit. Thanks to the clip mount and low weight, the Thumb works well as a companion to a primary headlamp — it's best suited to situations that call for a fixed, directional light, such as cooking or packing up after dark, rather than as a light for walking.
