Description
The Nitecore NU25 MCT is a headlamp with 400 lm peak output and a 132 m beam distance, powered by a built-in USB-C rechargeable battery. Nine light modes cover white spot and flood beams plus red light for night vision without glare — enough range to handle both long after-dark hiking stretches and camp chores.
What sets the MCT variant apart is its metal cooling housing, which helps dissipate heat at higher output levels but also pushes the weight up to 50 g compared to the lighter versions in the NU25 line. Three white colour temperatures (3000K/4500K/6500K) let you match the light to the situation — warmer tones preserve night vision, cooler ones give better contrast on rough terrain.
A lock mode guards against accidental activation inside a pack, and IP66 dust and water resistance make the NU25 MCT a dependable headlamp for hiking and camping, where the metal housing trades a few extra grams for better thermal stability than the ultralight versions in the same lineup.
