It's an accessory worth pairing with a specific compatible headlamp rather than buying on its own. At 23 g it's light for its capacity, and the IPX4 rating matches the rest of the Petzl range (rain and splash resistant, not submersible). Charging takes 3.5 hours over USB-C, which makes topping it up from a power bank on trail straightforward. The main case for buying one is running cost: according to Petzl, a single battery replaces up to 900 AAA cells over its lifetime, which pays off on longer or repeated trips both financially and in terms of waste.
