Description

The Petzl Actik Core 2025 is the rechargeable variant of the Actik line — it ships with a built-in Core battery (USB-C) as standard, with the option to drop in three AAA batteries when a charger isn't practical. Output climbs to 625 lumens with a 115 m beam distance, noticeably more than the base Actik, and the difference shows most when lighting up distance on trail. The five lighting modes include red light for preserving night vision, plus a lock function. IPX4 covers rain and splashes but not submersion. At the low setting, runtime reaches 100 hours, so a single charge or a spare set of AAAs should carry you through a multi-day trek. At 88 g it's actually lighter than the base Actik despite the extra output and hybrid power — a sensible balance of performance and weight for hikers who want one headlamp for camp chores and night hiking alike, without carrying spare batteries as the only backup option.
