Description
The Petzl Tikka 2025 is a basic but dependable headlamp for hiking and camping, run with a single button. On three AAA batteries it puts out up to 350 lumens, rising to 450 lumens with the optional CORE battery (sold separately); the 70 m beam distance covers regular trail walking and camp chores. The light is flood-type, spreading a wide field of view rather than throwing a narrow beam into the distance.
Five lighting modes include red light for preserving night vision, and a lock function guards against accidental activation in a pack. IPX4 handles rain but not submersion. Runtime up to 110 hours on low means a single set of batteries should cover most multi-day treks.
At 94 g it's a mid-weight lamp rather than a dedicated ultralight model, but the simple operation and solid runtime make it a sensible all-rounder for hikers and campers who'd rather not manage charging mid-trek and are happy relying on AAA batteries available almost anywhere.
