Description
A 150 x 250 cm groundsheet made from Tyvek, weighing 225 g — large enough for two people's sleeping pads side by side with room left over for a backpack under the shelter's vestibule area. Tyvek is a spun-bonded polyethylene material known for being tough against abrasion and punctures relative to its low weight, tougher than typical polycryl or polyethylene footprints of similar thickness, though it is not waterproof in the way a coated nylon groundsheet is.
Use it under a tent, tarp, or bivy to protect the shelter floor and sleeping pads from grit, roots, and moisture wicking up from the ground. At 225 g for two-person coverage it adds real weight to an ultralight tarp setup, so solo hikers or minimalist packers may prefer the smaller 75 x 230 cm version instead.
