Description
A 75 x 230 cm Tyvek groundsheet weighing 104 g, sized for a single sleeping pad with a little extra length left over for a backpack at the foot end. Tyvek's spun-bonded polyethylene construction resists abrasion and punctures better than its weight suggests, though like all uncoated Tyvek it is not fully waterproof — it sheds ground moisture and grit rather than standing water.
At just over 100 g it is light enough to be a near-default addition under a tarp, bivy, or floorless shelter for a solo hiker, protecting both the shelter floor and sleeping pad from rocks and roots. For two people sharing a shelter, the 150 x 250 cm version is the better fit rather than trying to squeeze both pads onto this narrower size.
