Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL5

The Copper Spur HV UL5 is the largest tent in the ultralight Copper Spur line, built for five — a 6.04 m² floor and 152 cm peak height (tall enough to stand upright, unlike the smaller siblings) give 1.21 m² per person. Its use case extends beyond backpacking and thru-hiking to family camping, matching the higher total weight of 3,318 g (3,116 g minimum), or 664 g per person. The freestanding double-wall dome pitches inner-first, DAC Featherlite NFL/NSL aluminum poles form the structure, and ten Dirt Dagger UL stakes plus reflective guylines add stability in wind. Both fly and floor use ripstop nylon with silicone/PU coating, rated to 1,200 mm waterproofing. Two vestibules totaling 1.58 m² make up just 26% of the floor area — a fairly modest share given the tent's size, suggesting storage is more of a bonus than a headline feature here. A 340 g footprint is sold separately.
