The Eureka TIMBERLINE SQ 2XT 2 PERSON TENT modernizes the classic A-frame Timberline with a DAC DA17 aluminum pole set (5 poles, 12 mm), an upgrade over the original's basic poles that improves strength and pitch consistency. Unlike the entry-level Timberline, this model is rated for backpacking as well as car camping, though at 3.29 kg packed (3.0 kg minimum, 1.65 kg per person) it stays on the heavier end for two-person backpacking. Waterproofing improves too: the 190T polyester ripstop fly and taffeta floor both carry a 1000 mm rating with factory-taped seams, a step up from the untaped 800 mm fly on the original Timberline, though still modest next to the 1500 mm fabrics used elsewhere in this catalog. Two D-shaped doors lead to a single 0.99 m² vestibule (30% vestibule ratio), and four interior pockets plus a gear loft help organize the 3.32 m² floor area. Steel skewer stakes and guy lines round out the pitch hardware. A footprint is sold separately. A durable, moderately upgraded take on a heritage design, not a lightweight-focused shelter.
