The Copper Spur UL4 is the family's largest member, built for four people on a 5.3 m² floor with 127 cm of peak height — enough to sit up comfortably with gear scattered around. It uses three DAC Featherlite aluminum poles rather than the two found on the smaller UL2/UL3, which adds interior volume and wind stability at the cost of a modest weight increase. Minimum weight of 2,270 g (2,490 g packaged) works out to 623 g per person at full four-person occupancy — a figure comparable to the smaller models in the line, since the weight is split across more sleepers. Fly and floor use 15D nylon with 20D ripstop reinforcement and HyperBead™ treatment, and the fabric is PFC-free, a detail relevant to anyone weighing the environmental footprint of their gear.
