The Katabatic Gear Flex 22 850 sits between the Alsek and Flex 15 in Katabatic's range: a three-season top quilt with 850-fill-power duck down (RDS- and bluesign-certified) rated to 22°F (-6°C), the same rating as the Alsek 22 850 but built around a convertible footbox rather than the Alsek's fixed trapezoidal shape. Total weight is 632 g with 408 g of fill — close to the Alsek 22 850's 621 g / 403 g, so the choice comes down mostly to footbox preference rather than weight. The convertible footbox lets the quilt open out flatter for warmer nights, at the cost of slightly less structured foot warmth than a sewn trapezoidal box. Continuous horizontal baffles and a Pertex Quantum Eco shell over a Pertex Quantum Taffeta liner carry over from the rest of the lineup, along with a down-filled draft collar and Katabatic's cord-clip pad attachment.
