At 900 g it is heavier than a comparable down quilt of similar warmth, which is the trade-off synthetic insulation typically brings in exchange for easier care and better wet-weather resilience. The open quilt shape has no zipper or hood, relying instead on three adjustable straps that loop under a sleeping pad to anchor the quilt in place and a drawcord that cinches the foot end into a footbox. A DWR-treated 30D nylon shell and 20D liner add some weather resistance without significant weight, and the quilt packs to 40 x 20 cm with a stuff sack included.
