The Feathered Friends Puffin YF 10 is a semi-rectangular, tapered-profile sleeping bag filled with 905 g of RDS-certified 900+ fill power goose down inside a water-resistant Pertex YFuse shell. A -12°C (10°F) limit rating and four-season classification make it the winter variant of the broader Puffin line — better suited to basecamp use and hut-to-hut travel than fast-and-light thru-hiking, which the 1304 g weight reflects.
At 163 cm shoulder, 155 cm hip, and 122 cm foot box, it offers considerably more room than mummy bags at a similar weight, which restless sleepers or anyone who prefers a looser fit will appreciate. The full-length zipper runs down the left side and is backed by a draft collar to limit heat loss, while the hood uses a simple drawcord rather than a fitted, contoured design.
Unlike other bags in the Puffin YF line, this one ships without a stuff sack — only a mesh storage sack is included, so a compression sack needs to be sourced separately. The liner fabric is recycled and bluesign certified, and the bag is made in Seattle.
