The Kelty Cosmic Synthetic 20 is the lighter sibling of the Cosmic Synthetic 0, built on the same CirroLoft ECO recycled synthetic fill but rated to a milder 0°C comfort / -6°C limit for three-season use. At 1280 g total with 860 g of fill, it sits in the middle ground between synthetic bag affordability and usable pack weight — not ultralight, but manageable for weekend trips outside deep winter.
The mummy cut is a men's-specific fit, with 198 cm internal length, a 79 cm shoulder width, and a 183 cm maximum user height. The recycled 20D polyester taffeta shell and 50D taffeta liner carry a DWR finish, backed by a full draft collar, draft tube, and contoured hood. The left-side two-way zipper runs the full length, and an internal pocket plus stuff sack are included.
A warmth-to-weight ratio of 4.7 puts the Cosmic Synthetic 20 in standard three-season territory — lighter (and pricier) down bags exist for gram-counting thru-hikers, but for regular backpacking it offers a solid balance of performance and cost.
