As with the 35, dropping the zip removes a common cold spot and failure point, while the oversized cut allows room for extra layers or shifting position through a cold night. At 2750 g and with synthetic (not down) insulation, this is a car-camping or basecamp bag rather than a backpacking one — the weight and bulk needed to reach -9°C with synthetic fill would be a serious load to carry on foot. It suits late-season car camping or situations where washing and moisture resistance matter more than pack weight.
