Big Agnes Two Track

The Two Track is a self-inflating sleeping pad built around an open-cell polyurethane foam core, trading some weight for reliability compared to air-only pads — open the valve, let the foam expand and pull air in, top off with a few breaths, and you're set without minutes of hand pumping. Its foam is vertically and horizontally cored rather than solid, cutting weight and packed volume compared to older uncored self-inflating designs while keeping most of the insulation. At 5.1 cm thick with an R-value of 3.3 (tested to ASTM F3340-18, comparable to pads from other brands using the same standard), it covers three-season use reasonably well without venturing into winter-rated territory. Regular size (20 x 72 in / roughly 51 x 183 cm) weighs 680 g and packs to 55 x 11 cm — heavier than an air pad of similar warmth, but with less risk of failure from a single puncture. A stuff sack, repair kit, and pump-sack compatibility are included, and Big Agnes backs it with an unusually long 99-year warranty.
