Description

The Klymit Insulated Static V is a single-person insulated pad built on the familiar Static V chamber shape, with Klymalite synthetic fill added between the baffles. Its R-value of 1.9 is measured against Klymit's own proprietary method rather than the ASTM standard, and it's enough to push comfort past pure summer use into cooler spring and autumn nights, though it won't be enough on its own for hard winter conditions. The shaped V-chambers and side rails keep sleepers centered and reduce the side-to-side roll that flat baffle designs allow. At 675 g and packing to 20×8 cm, it sits in the middle of Klymit's insulated lineup — lighter than the two-person and hybrid pads, but not the brand's lightest option. A twist-lock valve allows quick inflation with fine control for topping off, and the pad ships with a stuff sack only, no pump or repair kit. It suits hikers who want ground insulation without committing to the weight or price of the more specialized ultralight models in the range.
