Description

The Sea to Summit Comfort Deluxe is a self-inflating sleeping pad built for cold-weather comfort rather than minimal pack weight. Air Frame construction gives it an ASTM-tested R-value of 7.7 — enough for winter camping and shoulder-season trips where ground cold is a real concern — backed by a stretch-knit top that stays comfortable against skin or a sleeping bag liner. At 183 x 64 cm it's a standard-length, wide sleeping surface, and the 75D woven polyester bottom is tough enough for rocky or uneven pitches. None of this comes light: at 1895 g, this is a genuinely heavy pad, with a weight-per-R-value of 246.1 g — a fair trade for warmth but a poor one if you're counting grams for a summer thru-hike. The integrated Airstream pump sack means no separate pump or lung power is needed to fill it. This pad suits car camping, hut-to-hut trips where pack weight matters less, and cold-season trips where the R-value 7.7 genuinely earns its keep; ultralight summer hikers should look elsewhere.
