The Sea to Summit Women's Comfort Plus sits at the top of Sea to Summit's self-inflating range, built around an 8 cm-thick open-cell foam core — noticeably thicker than the Comfort Light — paired with an R-value of 5.1 rated for four-season, winter-capable use. The women's foam is body-mapped with extra thickness at the hips and feet, the zones most exposed to cold when sleeping on the side.
That insulation comes at a weight cost: 950 g in Regular size (170 × 53 cm), or about 186 g per unit of R-value, making this a pad for basecamp winter comfort rather than fast-and-light travel. The top fabric switches to a brushed 30D stretch-knit polyester for a softer feel against skin, while the 30D woven polyester bottom keeps its anti-slip silicone print. Sea to Summit rates the pad as quiet, addressing a common complaint about self-inflating designs. A stuff sack, repair kit, and PillowLock attachment are included, with a 10-year warranty.
Best suited to cold-weather car camping, winter basecamps, or anyone prioritizing warmth and comfort over pack weight.
