A starting weight of 675 g at this capacity and with a frame puts the EP50 among the lighter packs in its class — for comparison, the 10 L smaller Atom+ EP40 weighs 650 g, so the extra volume costs only about 25 g. One front pocket, two side pockets, and one ice axe loop cover basic needs, though there's no integrated rain cover or hydration compatibility. The expandable volume paired with low weight makes this a practical choice for thru-hiking and multi-day trips where carrying needs vary by section, such as around longer resupply stretches.
