The Black Diamond Beta Light 45 is a 45-liter mountaineering pack built from Dyneema/DCF fabric, weighing 890 g thanks to the combination of a weatherproof shell and aluminum stays - light for its capacity, though heavier than the frameless Beta Light 30 sibling. Unlike the frameless 30, the aluminum stays transfer some load to the hips, useful when carrying climbing gear on longer approaches. The back panel is contact-padded, and the hipbelt adds pockets for small items like a headlamp or snacks - handy for climbing days when the pack stays on through technical sections. One front pocket and two side pockets give quick access to rope, ice axe, or a bottle, and hydration compatibility is standard.
