The Gregory Facet 55 is an ultralight women's pack with 55 liters of capacity, offering the best volume-to-weight ratio in the Facet line. The aluminum frame and FreeFloat suspension with a ventilated mesh backpanel route load onto a ComfortCradle hip belt with pockets, and the floating top lid is removable for further weight savings. At 1.13 kg for 55 liters, that works out to under 21 g per liter — the lowest figure among comparable Gregory packs, placing the Facet 55 firmly in the ultralight category. The body uses 100D high-density recycled nylon (45% recycled content); the main compartment opens only from the top, with no integrated rain cover and no bottom access. The Facet 55 is aimed at experienced hikers deliberately minimizing base weight on multi-day routes, who accept a simpler single-opening main compartment and the lack of a rain cover in exchange for the lowest weight available in this volume class.
