Description

At 65 liters, the Gregory Zulu 65 is the largest pack in this trio of Zulu models, built for longer backcountry trips where a full multi-day load needs to ride comfortably rather than just fit. It carries over the tensioned mesh back panel from the smaller Zulu packs but switches to aluminum stays instead of a steel perimeter frame or spring steel, a common move at this volume to keep weight in check while still handling a heavier load. At 1,670 g that works out to roughly 26 g per liter, the most efficient ratio of the Zulu packs covered here — larger volume dilutes the fixed weight of frame and back panel components. The shell is the same 210D Honeycomb Cryptorip nylon used on the Zulu 40, a durable, abrasion-resistant fabric suited to repeated loading and off-trail contact. Access runs through a top lid and front-panel J-zip, with one ice axe loop, hydration compatibility, and an integrated rain cover for weather on multi-day exposure. It suits hikers packing for extended trips who need real capacity without stepping into expedition-pack territory.
