Step up from the Wander 50, the Gregory Wander 70 swaps the smaller pack's contact-padded back for a tensioned mesh panel — Gregory calls the internal frame here the Wire Wishbone — which improves airflow on longer days under load. At 70 liters and 1,606 g it works out to about 23 g per liter, noticeably more efficient than the Wander 50's 29 g/L, since the extra frame and back-panel structure needed to carry a bigger load doesn't scale up as fast as the volume does. The shell uses 210D Big Rip nylon paired with 420D high-density nylon at wear points. Three access routes — top lid, front-panel J-zip, and a bottom compartment — make it easier to reach a sleeping bag or extra layers without unpacking everything. Two ice axe loops, a front pocket, two side pockets, hydration compatibility, and an integrated rain cover round out the feature set. Gregory positions this one purely for multi-day trekking rather than day hikes, which tracks with the added volume and mesh back system aimed at sustained carrying comfort over a full trip.
