The Kelty Outskirt 70 is the larger variant in the Outskirt line at 70 liters. Unlike the smaller Outskirt 50, it uses a tensioned-mesh back panel instead of contact padding, improving airflow along the back, and the Fit-Pro torso adjustment system lets you fine-tune the pack's fit to your back length.
At 1634 g the pack comes to 23.3 g per liter, a better ratio than the smaller Outskirt 50's 26.3 g/l — relatively less weight per liter of capacity. The main compartment opens from the top and bottom, with the lower access primarily intended for a sleeping bag. Construction is the same 600D Polyester Oxford as the rest of the Outskirt line.
The pack offers one front pocket and two side pockets, one more pocket than the Outskirt 50, along with a padded hip belt with pockets, a chest strap, and load-lifter straps. It's hydration-reservoir compatible, though it lacks an integrated rain cover. The Outskirt 70 suits longer multi-day treks needing more room than the 50-liter version while keeping a similar design approach.
