Description

The Mountain Hardwear AMG 105 Pack is a 105-liter expedition mountaineering pack built on a 7000-series aluminum stay frame with a body in 200D Spectra ripstop and an 840D carbonate-coated nylon base — a material combination chosen for abrasion resistance against rock and ice rather than minimal weight. At 2327 g, the pack works out to roughly 22.2 g per liter of capacity, a reasonable figure for the expedition category, where durability takes priority over grams. A contact-padded back system, load-lifter straps, and a padded hip belt with pockets keep heavy loads stable on multi-day objectives. Two ice axe loops and hydration compatibility round out the technical feature set. Main compartment access is top-lid only, with no side zip, and there's no integrated rain cover. A ski carry system extends its use to ski-touring expeditions as well as pure mountaineering. This is a specialized tool for high-altitude expeditions and heavy loads, not a lightweight pack for casual multi-day trekking.
