At 85 liters and 2830 g, with a volume-to-weight ratio of 30 l/kg, it belongs to the classic, full-support category rather than ultralight territory. The padded contact back panel sits on an aluminum stay frame with an adjustable torso, so the fit can be tuned rather than requiring a different size. The main compartment opens from the top, through a front J-zip panel, and from the bottom, which helps when a sleeping bag is packed separately at the base. The removable lid doubles as a standalone daypack, useful for basecamp trips or day excursions from a hut. Two front and two side pockets, plus hip belt pockets, round out the storage, and dual ice axe loops extend use into mountaineering terrain.
