Optimus Crux

The Optimus Crux is an ultralight, upright canister-top stove weighing 83 g. Its folding pot support arms tuck into the recess on the bottom of a fuel canister when packed, so the stove takes up almost no extra space in a pack. The 3000 W burner boils a liter of water in about 3 minutes and includes simmer control for finer heat adjustment rather than just full blast. Per the spec, wind resistance is rated poor, so without a separate windscreen — sold apart from the stove — efficiency and boil times drop noticeably in exposed conditions. There's no piezo ignition or heat exchanger, and it runs on standard EN417 threaded canisters only.
