Description

The Optimus Crux Lite is a lightened version of the Crux stove, weighing just 72 g. It keeps the same 3000 W burner output and roughly 3-minute boil time for a liter of water, but the trimmed-down build makes it one of the lightest canister stoves in its class. Folding pot-support arms keep it stable despite the low weight, and simmer control allows finer cooking rather than just full-blast boiling. Per the spec it has a rated burn time of around 90 minutes and moderate wind resistance — better than the standard Crux, though a separate windscreen is still worth carrying in exposed terrain. It's a solid choice for solo backpackers and ultralight thru-hikers who count every gram and cook mainly for one. It comes with a stuff sack and a 2-year warranty. The trade-off for the reduced weight is typically less structural robustness than heavier stoves, and it lacks extras like piezo ignition or a heat exchanger.
