Description
The Petzl Actik 2025 is a mid-range all-rounder headlamp with 450 lumens of output and a 100 m beam distance, enough for most tasks from trail walking to off-path navigation after dark. Power comes from three AAA batteries by default, but Petzl's Hybrid Concept lets you swap in a rechargeable Core battery (sold separately) without changing lamps — useful on longer trips where AAA cells are easy to find but a charger isn't always.
Five lighting modes, including red light for preserving night vision, plus a lock function to prevent accidental activation in a pack, are standard Petzl fare at this level. IPX4 handles rain and splashes but not submersion. At its lowest setting, runtime stretches to 100 hours, enough to cover a multi-day trek without fussing over batteries every evening.
At 98 g, it sits closer to mid-weight than ultralight territory — a trade-off for versatility and longer runtime. A solid pick for weekend trips and multi-day treks where a dependable light source matters more than shaving the last few grams.
