The UltaMid 2 Mesh Insert, No Floor is the stripped-down inner-tent option for the UltaMid 2 pyramid — unlike the DCF-floor version, this insert has no floor at all and provides only full mesh walls in fine No-See-Um netting. Ground protection is left to a sleeping pad or the terrain itself under the fly, while the insert's job is purely to keep insects off the sleeping space. At just 386 g it is the lightest of the three UltaMid 2 inner options, and the gap versus the floored version (624 g) shows roughly how much weight the bathtub floor itself adds. Floor area is 4.65 m² for two people (2.33 m² per person), with the same 163 cm peak height as the rest of the line. Entry is through a D-shaped door, and packed size is just 29 by 6 cm. It makes sense on drier ground and in dry seasons where bugs are the concern but a waterproof floor is not needed — desert terrain, rocky alpine sites, or hammock-adjacent basecamps.
