It requires the UltaMid 4 outer fly and trekking poles to take its final shape and is not a standalone shelter. At 5.85 m² for four people (1.46 m² per person) and 465 g, it is the lightest of the four UltaMid 4 insert variants — the gap versus the DCF-floor version (799 g) shows roughly 330 g attributable to the floor alone. Peak height remains 191 cm, matching the rest of the insert line. This option makes sense on dry ground or in low-moisture seasons where insect protection matters more than a waterproof floor and keeping the overall setup weight down is the priority — typical for summer thru-hikes through arid ranges.
