It combines two fabrics: a 10D DWR-treated nylon top that's water-resistant and breathable for condensation management, and a fully waterproof 20D SilPoly floor against ground moisture, a common split-fabric approach in ultralight bivies. Entry is from the side rather than a full-length zipper — a YKK #3 zip opens only to waist height, keeping the bivy simple and light at the cost of easy full-body entry. A built-in bug-net hood covers the face opening for insect protection without a separate head net.
