The Borah Gear Cuben Bivy is a minimalist ultralight bivy pairing a waterproof Dyneema Composite Fabric floor with a breathable Argon67 nylon top - the floor keeps ground moisture out while the breathable top lets vapor escape so the sleeping bag doesn't wet out from condensation. In its lightest configuration (regular size, chest zip), it weighs approximately 120 g, a typical figure for DCF bivies at the upper end of the ultralight category. Dimensions of 213 x 76 cm fit a standard-length sleeping bag, and the 3/4 chest zip makes entry and ventilation easier without unzipping the full length. A full-length bug net is an above-average detail for something this light - most bivies at this weight either skip netting entirely or offer only limited head-area coverage. This works as a tarp companion or standalone shelter for solo ultralight treks, where the trade-off for weight near 100 g is minimal interior room and no freestanding structure. It's not a substitute for a tent in sustained rain.
