The floor is a waterproof 30D silnylon, while the top uses a tougher but only water-resistant 20D nylon — a combination that trims weight but assumes a tarp or well-sheltered site will handle the bulk of any rain. The built-in bug net can be tied up overhead, freeing extra room and airflow on clear, bug-free nights without having to remove the netting entirely. The breathable top also cuts down on condensation, typically the biggest issue with bivies since breath moisture otherwise collects directly on the fabric above your face. At 221 cm long with a 76 cm chest girth, it accommodates most sleeping bag and pad combinations, including bulkier winter bags.
