Big Agnes Gold Camp 5 Tarp

The Big Agnes Gold Camp 5 Tarp is a pyramid-style shelter for five people, pitched on a single adjustable center pole (168–203 cm). Unlike the DCF tents in this batch, it uses a conventional fabric — 75D polyester taffeta with a PU coating rated to 1500 mm — which means more weight (2382 g, 2040 g in the minimum configuration) but also a lower price and better abrasion resistance. The 287×287 cm floor (8.27 m²) is floorless, so this tarp works as a group roof rather than a sealed tent — total living space comes to 9.42 m², or 1.65 m² per person. Two peak vents plus mesh panels support airflow, twelve Dirt Dagger UL stakes are included, and the design accepts an optional mesh inner and footprint, both sold separately. At 476 g per person when fully occupied, it's heavier than the DCF shelters in this batch, but between the family-camping use case and its group-oriented size, it's a reasonable compromise for several people sharing one shelter at a lower cost.
