Naturehike Opalus Tunnel 2

The Naturehike Opalus Tunnel 2 is a semi-freestanding, 4-season tunnel tent for two people, pitched fly-first — the outer goes up before the inner, so the interior stays dry even when setting up in rain. A low 90cm peak height and tunnel shape present less wind resistance than a taller dome, and combined with 18 stakes, that makes the Opalus 2 a solid choice for exposed terrain and mountain weather — though as a semi-freestanding design, it depends on proper staking to hold its shape at all. Both fly and floor use 20D silicone-coated ripstop nylon rated to 4000mm on each side. Trail weight of 1995g (2400g with accessories) works out to 998g per person — reasonable for a 4-season tent in this class, though not ultralight. One door and one vestibule are typical for tunnel designs and mean two occupants share a single entry point. The 3.12m² floor gives enough length for taller users. It packs to 52×18cm, with a footprint included and also sold separately. Best suited to serious backpacking, mountaineering approach treks, and bikepacking outside peak summer season.
