The Eureka Mountain Pass 2 Person Tent is built for a wider temperature range than the standard MIDORI line — rated "3+ season" and intended for backpacking and mountaineering, not just fair-weather camping. At 2950 g packaged (2500 g minimum, 1475 g per person), it's noticeably heavier than the MIDORI 2-person, and that extra weight buys tougher fabric: an 1800 mm fly and a 3000 mm floor coating, both above the MIDORI's figures, plus a 20D polyester ripstop inner rather than a lighter mesh-heavy summer build. Two 9.5 mm aluminum poles support 3 m² of floor space (1.5 m² per person) with removable side panel vents that let the tent convert between ventilated three-season use and a weatherproof, four-season-leaning setup. Two peak and low vents aid airflow, two doors and 1.71 m² of vestibule space handle gear storage, and a footprint is included rather than sold separately — a difference from the MIDORI range. This suits two hikers heading into shoulder-season or higher-altitude conditions where a standard three-season tent's margin gets thin, at the cost of extra weight.
