Marmot Thor 2-Person Tent

The Marmot Thor 2P is a four-season expedition geodesic tent for two, built for mountaineering and expedition conditions rather than everyday trekking — and the weight reflects that: 4,106 g minimum, 4,621 g fully packed, over 2 kg per person. Six 9 mm DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles in a geodesic layout give this freestanding tent wind and snow resistance that two-pole ultralight tents can't match. Materials are correspondingly heavier-duty: a 50D polyester fly rated to 3,000 mm, a 70D nylon floor at 10,000 mm, and a 40D nylon inner tent that's only partially mesh rather than full mesh — a tradeoff for warmth over ventilation. A snow skirt, 16 guy-out points, and reflective guy lines are built for anchoring in harsh conditions. A 3.4 m² floor and two 1.5 m² vestibules give 1.7 m² per person — given the tent's weight, that's more about gear storage room than luxury space. Two interior pockets, a gear loft, a lantern loop, and an included repair kit round out a feature set aimed at expeditions where equipment durability outweighs pack weight.
