MSR Hubba Hubba LT 3P

The MSR Hubba Hubba LT 3P is a freestanding double-wall tent for three people with a rectangular 4.35 m² floor plan (roughly 47 square feet) — enough room for three sleeping pads side by side, making it more of a group-trip choice than a solo ultralight tent. The solution-dyed 20D polyester micromesh inner, combined with 20D ripstop nylon, maximizes airflow, while the ripstop nylon fly and floor with PEU coating hold 1200mm and 1800mm waterproof ratings respectively — the bathtub floor construction adds resistance to splash-back at the edges. Two vestibules totaling 1.51 m² and four interior pockets provide storage for three people's gear, with aluminum DAC poles and eight Mini Groundhog stakes rounding out the build. A minimum weight of 1984 g (661 g per person) is a reasonable trade-off for a three-person tent with this much space — split three ways, the per-person figure approaches that of lighter two-person tents, which makes the LT 3P a practical choice for group backpacking.
