REI Co-op Half Dome SL 3+ Tent with Footprint

The REI Co-op Half Dome SL 3+ is a freestanding, double-wall dome tent for three people, rated "3+ season" — a slightly tougher take on the standard three-season tent. Three DAC PF aluminum poles (9.5 mm diameter) hold the structure, and the inner tent is only partial mesh, trading some airflow for better protection against cold and wind compared to full-mesh designs. Floor area is 3.33 m² (1.11 m² per person) with a 112 cm peak height, giving three occupants decent room, while two vestibules totaling 2.09 m² provide gear storage. The fly is 30D ripstop nylon and the floor a tougher 70D nylon, both PU-coated with factory-taped seams — a combination suited to rougher weather and car camping as much as backpacking. A footprint ships in the box. Six interior pockets, two peak vents, and eight stakes round out a tent geared more toward family trips and car camping than fast thru-hiking miles, which tracks with its 2211 g trail weight (2410 g packaged) — about 803 g per person.
