NEMO Chogori Mountaineering Tent

The NEMO Chogori is a geodesic, freestanding, double-wall tent built for genuine four-season mountaineering rather than typical three-season backpacking. Its 4.6 m² floor (226 × 204 cm) and 116 cm peak height sleep three people with room to sit up, and DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles form the crossed geodesic frame that holds shape under wind and snow load without extra guying. The unified pitch-together design speeds setup in bad weather. At 3,620 g minimum and 3,900 g packaged — roughly 1.2–1.3 kg per person — it is far heavier than a backpacking tent, but that weight buys real winter durability: a silicone-treated 30D nylon fly rated to 3,000 mm and a tougher 70D nylon floor rated to 5,000 mm resist abrasion on rock and ice. Two vestibules totaling 1.62 m² hold crampons, ropes, and packs outside the sleeping area. This is expedition and high-altitude mountaineering gear, not a choice for hikers optimizing base weight.
