Katabatic Gear Flex 15 850

The Katabatic Gear Flex 15 850 is a three-to-four-season top quilt using 850-fill-power hydrophobic duck down (RDS-certified) to reach a 15°F (-9°C) comfort rating, seven degrees colder than the Alsek 22 in the same lineup. At 717 g with 485 g of fill, it carries roughly 80 g more down than the Alsek 22 850 to close that gap. The shell uses a lighter 10-denier Pertex Quantum Eco ripstop than the Alsek's, so the extra weight comes almost entirely from the larger down charge, not the materials. Continuous horizontal baffles keep fill distributed evenly, and a down-filled draft collar seals the open top edge where the quilt attaches to a pad via built-in loops. The footbox uses Katabatic's open-style construction, letting it lie flatter and work more like a blanket in milder conditions. Packed size is 33 x 19 cm, around 9 litres; a stuff sack and separate storage sack are included. A cold-weather three-season quilt for backpackers who find 22°F too marginal but don't need a full winter bag.
