Cumulus Quilt 450

The Cumulus Quilt 450 is a three-season top quilt filled with 450 g of Polish goose down (850 cuin, 95/5 ratio) for a total weight of 710 g. Comfort is rated at -1 °C with a -7 °C limit — cold enough for shoulder-season nights without the weight of a full winter bag. Horizontal H-baffle chambers and a Pertex Quantum 29 g/m² DWR shell keep the fill lofted and the outer face weather-resistant. Being a quilt rather than a mummy bag, it has no zipper along a full side; instead a half-length closure near the footbox and elastic pad loops cinch the underside against a sleeping pad to cut drafts. The footbox is open rather than fully anatomical, and there is no hood, typical quilt trade-offs that save weight against a mummy design with the same fill. Stuff sack and storage sack are included, and it is rated for users up to 185 cm. It suits fastpackers and thru-hikers running a pad-anchored sleep system who want genuine cold-weather capability at a lower weight than an equivalent sleeping bag.
