The Katabatic Gear Flex 30 850 is the mildest-rated quilt in this Katabatic selection, built for 30°F (-1°C) comfort with 357 g of 850-fill-power duck down, for a total weight of 601 g — noticeably lighter than the 22°F-rated Flex and Alsek models, reflecting the reduced insulation needed for a milder rating. It shares the Flex line's open-style footbox but adds footbox ventilation, a detail absent from the colder Flex 22 and Flex 15 — useful on warm nights or during high-output hiking where venting matters more than sealing heat in. An internal pocket, a differential-cut shell, and continuous horizontal baffles carry over from the rest of the range, with the shell in recycled, bluesign-certified Pertex Quantum Eco over a Pertex Quantum Taffeta liner. This is listed as a "regular" size with an internal length of 183 cm, unlike the short size on other quilts in the lineup.
