The Katabatic Gear Palisade 30 900 is an ultralight top quilt with a -1°C comfort rating, filled with 900 fill-power hydrophobic goose down — the higher fill power brings it to a lower weight (504 g, 296 g of which is down) than the 850FP version at the same temperature rating. Continuous horizontal baffles and a differential cut keep the fill evenly distributed. The Pertex Quantum Eco Ripstop shell and Pertex Quantum Taffeta liner are recycled, bluesign-certified fabrics. A sewn trapezoidal footbox holds its shape without a zipper, a draft collar limits heat loss at the neck, and the quilt attaches to the pad via loop straps rather than carrying underside insulation. The down is RDS-certified and the quilt is made in the USA. Unlike some other models in the line, this one ships with only a storage sack — no separate compression stuff sack is included, so plan your packing accordingly. It comes in blue or green and is sized for shorter users (short size, up to 167 cm). For three-season thru-hiking focused on minimum weight, it's one of the lighter options in Katabatic's lineup.
