Description

The Marmot Nanowave 25° is a synthetic mummy bag built around SpiraFil High Loft insulation, which — unlike down — keeps insulating even when wet, and that's the point: Marmot pitches this bag at backpacking and paddling trips where soaked gear is a real possibility. A 3°C comfort rating and -2°C limit put it in three-season territory, spring through fall rather than deep winter. That wet-weather reliability comes at a weight cost: 1,300 g and a 10.3 L packed volume are substantial by current standards, which points this bag more toward canoe trips, fishing camps, or base camping than ultralight backpacking where every gram is scrutinized. A 50D polyester liner, full-length two-way zipper on the left side, and a draft tube to cut heat loss round out a fairly standard synthetic-bag feature set, built without PFC treatments. For hikers up to 182 cm who want a dependable bag for damp conditions and aren't chasing pack weight, the Nanowave 25 is a sound pick; ultralight trips are better served by lighter down bags.
