The Exped Ultra 3R Duo is the two-person insulated version of the Ultra 3R, sharing the same Texpedloft synthetic fill (60 g/m², bluesign certified) and an ASTM R-value of 2.9, putting it in 3-season territory. The medium size measures 182.9 × 104.9 cm, is 7.6 cm thick, and weighs 844 g — relatively light for a two-person footprint thanks to a shared construction that avoids doubling up on edges. The top fabric is recycled 20D ripstop polyester with Oeko-Tex 100 certification and a non-slip dot pattern that helps keep sleeping bags from sliding. Construction uses horizontal baffles and two low-profile valves compatible with the included Schnozzel Pumpbag, plus a stuff sack and repair kit. A 5-year warranty applies; unlike most other Exped pads in this range, this model is not listed as PFC-free. For couples on 3-season multi-day trips, the Ultra 3R Duo offers a better insulation-to-weight ratio per person than two separate Ultra 3R pads, at the cost of flexibility if sleepers want to separate.
