Exped Ultra 3R Mummy

The Exped Ultra 3R Mummy is an ultralight, mummy-tapered insulated air pad built for 3-season use. Insulation comes from 60 g/m² Texpedloft microfiber welded directly to the air chambers, and combined with horizontal internal baffles it delivers an R-value of 2.9 under the ASTM F3340-18 standard — enough for comfortable sleep into light frost, but not a winter pad. At 365 g in the 183 × 52 cm size (7 cm thick), it sits among the lighter insulated pads in its R-value bracket, working out to roughly 126 g per R-point — a useful reference for thru-hikers and anyone chasing a lower base weight. It packs down to 23 × 11 cm. Both top and bottom fabrics are recycled 20D ripstop polyester (Oeko-Tex 100 certified), with the bottom layer adding a TPU film laminate for puncture resistance; the pad is bluesign certified and PFC-free. The package includes a Schnozzel Pumpbag, stuff sack, and repair kit, backed by a 5-year warranty. The tapered mummy shape trims weight and pack size compared to a rectangular pad, at the cost of shoulder and hip room — a trade-off most ultralight hikers accept gladly.
