Description

The NEMO Flyer is a self-inflating sleeping pad built around an open-cell foam core, paired with a twist-lock valve for quick adjustment. An R-value of 3.3 places it in 3-season territory — comfortable for spring, summer, and fall trips, but not intended for genuinely cold nights. At 183×51cm and 5cm thick, it prioritizes standard backpacking comfort over maximum packability. Unlike pure air pads, the foam core delivers a more stable, quieter sleeping surface and largely self-inflates, cutting down on breath time at camp. The 75D polyester top fabric is more puncture-resistant than the thinner face fabrics found on many ultralight air pads, though that durability comes at the cost of overall weight — 900g. A stuff sack and repair kit are included, making small punctures easy to patch on the trail. The Flyer suits backpackers who value comfort and durability over shaving every possible gram.
